I was a Stitcher, and Lead Cutter

I made Cinderella’s Regular every day out fit from pattern to final garment

Here is the image by Barbara Gregusova who was the designer and graduate from of a previous year from the same program.

From this image I created patterns with my Teachers instruction, and used fabrics hand picked by the designer.

For a lot of people I know they would have rather made Cinderella’s ball gown but I was very happy to get this dress as it’s on stage most often and worn by the lead. It also had to be built really well for quick changes, so it gave me a lot of challenges that I welcomed.

I learnt a lot from this costume, as well from the Designer Barbara Gregusova.

The dress cut was a challenge with inserts etc. and with stage costumes you don’t line them for future alterations and uses, the waffle insert needed to be fitted and the gathered insert, insert sleeve and over sleeve. I just really enjoyed working on this stage production
