About Me

Hey! Its me Pink Bunnie your friendly neighbored maple syrup loving cosplayer

I am a Canadian born cosplayer whos been cosplaying (looks at badges since 2006, I collect all of mine) wow not as long as I thought. Even so my first cosplay would have been FF10 Lulu for grade 12 halloweein 2004 lol, and before that me and my mom made all my Halloween costumes. My favourite would have to be my pink unicorn costume onzie she made with a crinoline mane : ).

I have been attending Sakura con every year since 2006 minus this year due to school, as my home con I’ve attended Anime evolution last year being it’s last, I went to yaoi con once in 2006 I think and then my first big con was Fanime in San Jose 2010 which I have to say my favourite con and this year I have finally been to Anime Expo ^_^ each year I learn new skills meet new and amazing people and have tones of fun.

I started cosplaying because I love costumes; I do not under any circumstances take myself too seriously. I do this for fun and a hobby but I also want to make and design costumes for a living because it’s what I love most.

I have a Diploma from the Art Institute of Vancouver for Fashion design and a Certificate for Costume for Stage and Screen from Capilano. I decided to go to school to be a costume designer for film when I attended my first AE there was a booth for AI and when I realised (never really crosses my mind and grade 12 year was not a year where I was planning to go to college or further my education for personal reasons, so it never crossed my mind) I could design and sew costumes for a living.

Right now my accomplishments are a Steampunk Collection I did well at Ai, working on a student film called Arcadia, and working on four stage shows put on at Capilano, The Hobbit, Noises off, Ring around the Moon, and Cinderella. I made Cinderella’s main stage costume.

I also have been taking commissions on and off for the past 3 years as a side thing

I have 4 cosplay goals

  1. Cosplay Chewbacca from Starwars
  2. Being the first Canadian cosplayer to compete for WCS ( unlikely to ever happen, Canada just doesn’t get the support or big enough convetions)
  3. Make golden armoured Wonder Woman
  4. Make new friends every year (easiest of the four ^_^)

A little advice :

Cosplaying is a hobby not a sport and in less you’re entering a contest you don’t do it to be judged. Saying that everyone judges at a quick glance they may see a costume and think to them self’s oh I can do better or something along those lines. Remember we’re not all the master seamstresses or have taken sewing classes; we all learn at different speeds and have different skills. Cosplay is a hobby for most not a way of life so remember and be kind
Disclaimer: I am dyslexic; you may read my posts and see that my grammar and spelling suck.  Yes I use spell check, no it does not catch everything and no one has the time to always read posts 10 times before posting, or have someone read over every posts before posting. If you find my writing unbearable please keep it to yourself, I do my best
